KOROMANIAN, Albert H. Albert H. Koromanian, 73, of Wethersfield, died Thursday, (April 22, 2004) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Yonkers, NY, son of the late Kocho and Nancy (Melkonian) Koromanian and had lived in Wethersfield for many years. Prior to his retirement, Al, was an Art Teacher in the South Windsor School System and Central CT State University. He was a member of St. Stephen's Armenian Apostolic Church, New Britain, a U.S. Army Veteran of The Korean War, and a member of VFW Post 2097. He was a graduate of The University of Hartford where he received his BS degree and his Masters Degree in Fine Art. He is survived by three daughters, Tarla Koromanian of Agawam, MA, Devra Koromanian of New Britain, and Rhonda Koromanian of Hartford; his former wife and dear friend, Sandra Embry of Hartford; his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and John Karangekis of Wethersfield; two grandchildren, Jessica and James Koromanian of Hartford; a great granddaughter, Celina Ortiz, a nephew and niece, Mark Karangekis and his wife, Amy of Boston, and Lisa Kosicki and her husband, Robert of Wethersfield. The funeral will be Monday, April 26, 10 a.m. from the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by services, 11 a.m. in St. Stephen's Armenian Apostolic Church, 167 Tremont St., New Britain, CT 06051. Burial with full military honors will be in The State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call Sunday, 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions in his memory may be made to the church.
