Amadeu F. Vieira, 87 of Wethersfield, husband of the late Adelia (Carvalho) Vieira, died Saturday, March 5, 2016. He was born in Lisbon Portugal, son of the late Joseph and Sofia (Fino) Vieira, moved to Hartford in 1968, finally moving to Wethersfield 20 years ago. Amadeu worked for Arrow Space Metals for over 23 years. He was a former member of the Hartford Portuguese club and past Vice President of the Hartford Portuguese Soccer Team. He leaves his sons, Charles A. Vieira of Wethersfield, and John P. Vieira and his wife Susan, of Columbia. His three grandchildren, Jennifer Zaccardelli, and her husband Anthony, and Ashley and Ryan Vieira. And his three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Bradley and Natalie Zaccardelli. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 10, 2016, 11:00 AM, in Our Lady Of Fatima Church, 50 Kane St., Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Visiting hours will be held Thursday morning prior to the mass at the Dillon Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpk., Wethersfield, from 9:00-10:30 AM.
