Amelia Gutierrez, 83, of Hartford, CT passed away on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021. Amelia was born in Lima, Peru in 1937 to the late Felipe and Lea Gutierrez.  She grew up on her family farm in Ayacucho caring for animals, cultivating vegetables, and picking fruits. She is survived by her daughter Paulina Orozco and her husband Cesar Flores of Hartford, CT and son Jose L. Orozco and his wife Maria Orozco of New Britain, CT. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Visitation hours will be held Thursday July 15, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Dillon Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT.  The funeral mass will be at 11:00am Friday, July 16 ^th at Maria Reina De La Paz Parish, 494 New Britain Ave, Hartford, CT. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St, New Britain, CT.

Amelia Gutiérrez, de 83 años de Hartford, CT falleció el martes 13 de julio de 2021. Amelia nació en Lima, Perú en 1937, hija del defunto Felipe y Lea Gutiérrez. Creció en la granja de su familia en Ayacucho cuidando animales, cultivando vegetales y recogiendo frutas. Le sobreviven su hija Paulina Orozco y su esposo Cesar Flores de Hartford, CT y su hijo José L. Orozco y su esposa María Orozco de New Britain, CT. También le sobreviven seis nietos y tres bisnietos, a quienes amaba mucho.

Su velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 15 de julio de 5:00 pm a 8:00 pm en Dillon Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT. El servicio funeral será el viernes 16 de julio a las 11:00 am en la parroquia María Reina De La Paz, 494 New Britain Ave, Hartford. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio Fairview, 120 Smalley St, New Britain, CT.
