Anastasia was born in Thessaloniki, Greece on July 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Paraskevi & John Eglezos. The young family moved to the island of Rhodes, Greece when Anastasia was an infant along with her siblings. She married Paul Loulakis (1920-1998) in 1950 and had 4 beautiful children together. Anastasia, as a young mother, created a warm and loving home for her family. Anastasia was a talented seamstress and worked in the industry for over thirty years in Hartford, acquiring this talent from her beloved mother, Paraskevi, who was a well-known seamstress in her day. Anastasia, Paul and their young family decided to immigrate to Hartford, CT in 1968 where they easily assimilated into their new way of life. She was very involved in the Greek Orthodox church and raised her family surrounded by her faith. She had a true entrepreneur's spirit. She loved baking exquisite Greek desserts and Greek dishes. Anastasia loved her family especially her grandchildren and was involved in raising and teaching them about Greek culture. She loved to travel back home to Greece frequently, and she fulfilled her dream to travel to Adelaide, South Australia to visit her siblings Michael, Anestis, and Evangelia, and her mother Paraskevi, where they had a great reunion after 25 years apart. She was fluent in Greek and Italian as well as acquiring the English language. Later in life, Anastasia learned the skill of jewelry making.
