MUIR, Andrew F. Andrew F. Muir, 46, of Newington, beloved husband for 20 years of Angela (Farone) Muir, died Tuesday, (August 31, 2010) at Hartford Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Hartford son of Jack M. Muir of Newington and the late Nancy (Shoro) Muir and had lived in Newington all of his life. Andrew worked for the family business Muir Envelope Company of Newington. He was an avid NASCAR fan, cooking was his passion and he loved the GTO's. He spent his childhood summers at Point of Woods with his cousins, Douglas and Gregory Guyer. Besides his wife and father, Andrew is survived by two sons, Alexander and Austin Muir of Newington, a brother Danny Muir of Newington, a sister, Sandra Murray and her husband Mitchell of East Windsor, two nieces, Krystina Grasso and Megan Murray, his uncle David Muir and his wife Eileen of Newington and their daughter, Marylou Gianntonio and her husband Livio and their daughters, Alisha and Nicole, a sister-in-law Andrea Scruggs and her husband Barry of Hayward, Wisconsin and their son Xander. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Karasik and Laverne for all their compassionate care. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, September 8, 2010, 11 AM in St. Brigid Church, 1088 New Britain Ave. West Hartford, CT. Burial will follow in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. There will be no visiting hours. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to: The Liver Foundation or The Hemophilia Society.
