Angel Manuel Crespo, 71, of Hartford, CT beloved husband of Beryl (Sukhlall) Crespo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, and was the son of the late Alfonso and Benita (Mercado) Crespo. Angel came to the United States in 1969, where he worked in the tobacco fields at Camp Windsor in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Over the years, he held various jobs and lived in several places before settling in Hartford, where he built a life with his wife Beryl and worked at Mosey's Inc. Angel had a passion for collecting rare dollar bills and coins, especially bills with star markings. He loved science fiction movies and television shows and was a devoted fan of both DC and Marvel, with Superman being his favorite superhero. During the holidays, Angel was known for baking the most delicious cakes and pies, a tradition cherished by family and friends. Angel was a kind, generous, and selfless man. He was always willing to help others and never hesitated to give to those in need. If someone needed him, Angel would drop everything to be there.

In addition to his wife Beryl, Angel is survived by his daughter Crystal Crespo of Hartford; his three sisters, Aida Crespo, Amparo Crespo, and Carmen Crespo, all of Cayey, Puerto Rico; and his brother-in-law Harrinerine Sukhlall. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Kalawati Sukhlall of Hartford, CT whom he adored dearly. Angel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT 06109, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
