Angel Luis Lopez of Glastonbury CT, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital.  He was 88 years old and enjoyed his time alongside his family.  We are deeply saddened by his pass but find solace in knowing that our beloved parents have reunited in heaven.

Angel was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on December 12, 1934, and was the son of the late Epifanio Lopez and Justina Garcia. He joined the US Airforce on Sept 07, 1954, and graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics in 1960 as a licensed aircraft mechanic.
On Sept 17, 1960, he married Carmen Lydia in Puerto Rico and relocated to New York. Angel worked for Pan Am Airways in New York, and later relocated with his wife to Connecticut, where he was employed by Emhart and served in the Air National Guard.

Angel was forever a student. He enjoyed reading and having intellectual conversations. He was always friendly and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and NY Mets and enjoy watching the games.  His joy was spending time with his family and watching his family grow.

Angel is survived by his 4 children: Son Angel & his wife Angie, grandchildren Leah, Bret and Rian; Daughter Carmen, granddaughter Amanda, & her husband John, great-granddaughter Illaria; Son Ronald & his partner Patricia; Son Norberto & his wife Lisset, grandchildren Marquis and Julien. Angel is predeceased by his wife Carmen Lydia, and great-granddaughter Adamari.

We now celebrate his memory and journey here.  On many occasions Angel would say, "Life is a journey and at some point, our journey will end."

Funeral service for Angel will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 12pm at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be in Mt.
