Anna M. (Obrien) McLaughlin, 83, widow of Harold J. McLaughlin Jr., Passed away peacefully on October 13, 2015. Anna, also affectionately known as "Mimi", was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary (O'Connor) O'Brien. A Hartford resident her entire life, Anna loved to sing and shared her God-given talent with many, through musicals at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in the 70's and 80's. as well as being a member of the Rocky Hill Review. Anna had attended St. Augustine School and Bulkeley High School, and had worked at the Department of Motor Vehicles prior to her retirement in 1994. She leaves behind her son. James J. McLaughlin of Hartford, daughters Carrie A. Damon of Cranston, RI, Theresa L. McLaughlin of Plainville, Eileen M. Willard and her husband Palmer of Forestville, grandson Nicholas A. Damon, granddaughter Melissa Hayes and her husband Aaron, and great-grandson Connor Hayes. In addition she leaves her sisters-in-law Laura O'Brien and Beatrice Corcoran and her husband Richard, 2 best friends Veronica Knapp, and Kathi Stork, and several nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by a granddaughter, Christine Damon, as well as her brothers Howard, John, Joseph, Robert, and William, and a sister Marion. The funeral will be at 1:30PM, Monday October 19, at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike Wethersfield. Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 18, from 3-6PM at the funeral home.
