Anthony F. DiFabio, Sr., 93, of East Hartford, beloved husband of the late Marian (Cirigliano) DiFabio, died, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Southington, son of the late Vincenzo and Philomena (DiBarandio) DiFabio, he was raised in Hartford, lived in Bloomfield for over 35 years and moved to East Hartford more than 20 years ago. He was a graduate of Hartford Public High School Class of 1937, and a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. Tony was a self employed grocer and small business man in Hartford and Bloomfield. He was an avid hunter, a longtime member of the Bloomfield Fish and Game Club, and a proud golfer. In his later years he enjoyed spending winters in St. Augustine, Florida where he played golf and socialized with his many friends. He is survived by his son, Anthony F. DiFabio, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Avon, three grandchildren, Benjamin J. DiFabio and his wife Karalesa and Claudia L. DiFabio all of New York City and Nicole D. Leduc of California, and two great grandchildren, Charlotte G. DiFabio and Christian Leduc. He is also survived by his loving companion Emma Molino of East Hartford, her children, Maryellen Kenney and her children, Matthew, Kevin and Mallory; Carla Willey and her children, Jenness and Sarah; Sandra Runnion and her children, Allie and Dylan; Amy Pfeffer and her son Kyle also Gianmarco Molino and Alessia Molino, children of the late Michael Molino. He was predeceased by his daughter, Ann Marie Leduc, his brother Frank A. DiFabio and his sister Sarah Kavalski. The funeral will be Wednesday, November 9, 2011, 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 15 Maplewood Ave. East Hartford, everyone is asked to go directly to church. Burial will be in the family plot at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, November 8th, 4-8 p.m. at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield.
