Mr. Basil Weir of Hartford, CT, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 with his loving wife by his side. Basil was 77 years old at the time of his death. Basil was born to parents Jasper and Celestine Weir (née Seymour), on December 19, 1939 in Hope Bay, Portland, Jamaica. Basil leaves behind his loving wife Sharon Weir of over 30 years. He is survived by his two sons Mark and Jermaine Weir and his two daughters, Alethia Caruso (née Weir) and Patricia Weir; his three brothers, Eric and Errol Weir as well as Hugh Savory; four grandchildren, Shyan, Morgan and Julian Weir and Lia Caruso. He is preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Farquharson (née Weir); his two brothers, Alvin and Roy Weir; his parents, Jasper and Celestine Weir. To cherish his memories he leaves behind his adoptive children Katia and Roshane Weir, and a host of nieces and nephews as well as close friends. There will be no viewing.
