Bernadette F. Poitras, 97, of Hartford, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts daughter of the late Gideon and Adeline (Roy) Cote. She lived in Hartford for over 60 years and was a longtime communicant of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Armand Poitras.
She is survived by three sons, Raymond Poitras and wife Pam of Harwinton, Dennis Poitras and wife Jackie of Somers, and Donald Poitras of Hartford; one daughter, Irene Hopkins of Newington; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her daughter Janet Poitras.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2015, 11:00am at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave., Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral Tuesday, 9am-10:30am, at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield.
