Carmen V. Cruz, 82, of Hartford, CT passed away peacefully Friday, October 18, 2024. Carmen was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico and was the daughter of the late Enrique and Irene (Cruz) Garcia. Carmen was the matriarch of the family. She was a devout Catholic and loved The Lord. She is known for being a hairdresser for over 20 years. For those who remember, she had her hair salon "Victoria's Hair Studio" on Albany Ave and Zion St.  Carmen loved fashion and would sing all the time. She was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Carmen cherished spending time with everyone, hosting gatherings, and creating memories. Her sense of humor, style and smile will greatly be missed.

Carmen is survived by her 4 living daughters, Nilsa Feliciano & husband Pablo Feliciano, Myrna Lopez, Lissette Colon, and Vicky Amaro Cruz and husband Luis Amaro as well as her late son, Leslie Cruz, who passed away 7 months ago, her sister Dolores Guietters, brother Juan Garcia, her 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, in addition to her several nieces & nephews.

Funeral service for Carmen will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 12pm at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, Thursday, from 10am to 12pm. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
