Carmen Figueroa, 73, of Hartford, widow of Julio Figueroa died Tuesday, February 4, 2014. She was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico and had lived in Hartford for many years. Carmen worked as a lunch aide in the Hartford school system for ten years. She is survived by 4 sons, Pablo and his wife Maribel, Osvaldo, and Carmelo Figueroa, SFC (Retired) all of Hartford, and Ramon and his wife Mabel of Texas, two daughters, Maria Elena Figueroa of Hartford and Maria del Carmen Morales-Figueroa of West Hartford a sister Reinalda Mercado of Hartford and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Esther Rios. The funeral will be Saturday, February 8, 2014, 9:30 a.m. from the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave. Hartford, burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
