Conchita H.
Kinsella
Dec 8, 1930 — Mar 8, 2025
West Hartford
It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Conchita Kinsella, who left this world on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the age of 94. Born in Chiapas, Mexico, Conchita later became an American citizen, embracing a life filled with warmth, resilience, and love. Conchita was a devoted wife to the late Richard Kinsella, a distinguished Navy officer, diplomat, and SEAL, with whom she shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of adventure, family, and an unwavering commitment to one another. She was the heart of every social gathering known for her infectious laughter, gracious spirit, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. Conchita had a remarkable ability to make others feel at home, whether through a warm embrace, a shared story, or her humble generosity. Conchita's life was one of quiet strength and immense love. She gave selflessly to her family, offering wisdom, laughter, and boundless support. Though we will miss her deeply, we take comfort in knowing she embarks on her next journey with the same grace and spirit that defined her time with us.
Conchita is survived by her loving children: Marco, Dianne, and Robert. She was predeceased by two sons - James, who passed at the tender age of 7, and John, who left us at 59. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Liana, Alaina, Lili, Matthias, Max and Celine - and her great grandchildren, William and Harper. Conchita also leaves behind her beloved daughter-in-law, Jackie, her grandson-in-laws, Bill and Ryan; Marco's partner, Sandy Matlack, dear companion and friend to the family, and Denice Hicks, the beloved partner of her late son, John. We are deeply grateful for Dr. Brenda Balch, her niece, and to her wonderful caregivers Elizabeth, Blanca, Annie, Janet, Sandy, and Roland for support and compassion. She was our mother, our grandmother, our friend, and the light in so many lives. We will miss her dearly, but her love will remain with us forever.
