Demetria (Velasquez) Romero, 95, beloved widow of Eustaquio Romero, died, Tuesday, February 22, 2011. She was born in Ocros, Peru and had lived in the Hartford area for 28 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church and a member of Club Rosario de Ocros. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Roman and Rosario Romero and Lizardo and Maria Romero all of West Hartford, and Alejandro and Matilde Romero of So. Windsor, 4 daughters, Epifania Robles and Marcelina Romero both of Hartord, Herminia and her husband Lino Robles of Windsor and Emilia and her husband Ipolito Cabanillas of West Hartford a step daughter Eva and her husband Alberto Mayorga of Bristol, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday, February 26th, 8 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Ave. Hartford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
