Dhanraj Persaud, 47 of Hartford, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at his home. Dhanraj was the son of the late Kissoon also known as Dara Singh and Jasodra of Kiltearn Village, GUYANA S/A. Dhanraj born and grew up at Kiltearn Village and migrated to the U.S. in 1985 where he attended Weaver High School and resided with his siblings. Dhanraj will be sadly missed by his five brothers Ram, Puna, Clive, Rajo, and Chanderpaul Phulbas. His sisters Mindra, Narinee, Dularie, Tara, Chetra and Meena. Dearly missed by his nieces and nephews Ranie, Sanjay, Navita, Dawn, Doreen, Boi, Amrita, Sudesh, Lata, Jasmin, Chandon, Durisha, Bhavindra, Duvasaan, Alokvindra, and grand-niece Anisha. Greatly missed by his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends of the community. There will be viewing/calling hours Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and funeral Wednesday September 3, 2014 9 a.m. at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
