Dorothy Margaret Mary Wrinn Meagher, beloved wife of William E. Meagher, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on December 26 at the age of 91. She was born January 7, 1929 in Staten Island, NY the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Anderson) Wrinn. She was a communicant of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Hartford. Dorothy served as personal secretary to Governor Abraham Ribicoff during the early years of his administration and became a homemaker at the birth of her first child. Dorothy's life was filled with love and devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by William, her husband of 66 years, her brother, John Wrinn, and her sister, Gertrude Leonard.  Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Patricia and son-in-law David Ritter of San Anselmo, CA, Kathleen and son-in-law Gary Lai-Hipp of West Hartford, CT, and her two sons, Thomas and daughter-in-law Sheryl Meagher of Dublin, CA, Daniel Meagher of Los Angeles, CA, and her brother Charles and his wife Janice Wrinn. In addition, Dorothy leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Allison Ritter Fitzpatrick and husband George Fitzpatrick, Stephanie Ritter, Evan and Keilani Lai-Hipp, Kiana and Thomas K. Meagher as well as her two beloved great-grandchildren Henry and Opal Fitzpatrick.  A private graveside service and burial will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dorothy's favorite charity St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
