Efrain Barreto, 85, of Hartford, CT beloved husband of the late Carmen L. Rodriguez passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025. He was born in Jayuya, PR and was the son of the late Pedro and Ignacia (Rentas) Barreto.

Efrain is survived by his daughter, Evelyn Barreto; husband (Albert Rodriguez); daughter, Minerva Barreto; son, Jose Barreto (wife, Waleska Barreto); daughter, Noemi Vazquez; son, Isaias F. Barreto (wife, Yeilian Barreto); daughter, Ivette A. Leka (husband, Teodor Leka); Sister Araceli's Barreto (husband, Cesar Olivera); brother, Pedro Barreto. followed by grandkids, great grandkids, nephew's and niece's from both parties. Our Dad was the greatest to all of us; he was loving, carrying, fun, outgoing and the life of the party. He touched many other hearts with his humanity helping hands wherever he went. He was loved by many others, like his senior center friends that he loved going to every day and many other friends and families. He will live in our hearts forever and he will never be forgotten. Funeral Service for Efrain will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 12pm at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home,1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden, CT.
