Elizabeth E. (Trott) Neild, 89, of Enfield, wife of the late Allan G. Neild,
died peacefully on June 21, 2012. She was born July 4, 1922, in East Hartford, CT., the daughter of Harold and Jesse (Dow) Trott, the youngest of five children. Before moving to St Francis Residence in 2010, Betty was a resident of Wethersfield for many years. She was a communicant of The First Church of Christ, Wethersfield and an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter Pam Roy and her husband Rene, of La Habra CA, her son Allan and his wife Diane of Enfield, her grandchildren, Kelly and Brian Raulukaitis, Danielle and David Stewart, John and Anna Neild, Shannon and Jake Steen, Kristopher Neild and Nicholas Neild, great-grand children, Thomas and Alison Raulukaitis, Andrew and Jack Neild, Peyton and Megan Steen and Cierra Stewart. She was predeceased by her beloved son Ken in 2007. Betty was an avid reader, loved playing cards, sewing and watching golf on TV. She was very proud to be born on July 4th, and really enjoyed watching the fireworks celebration with her family. She loved being part of the St. Francis Residence community and was grateful for the kindness and friends she had made there. She enjoyed the daily lunch she shared with friends, and chatting with them in the Gazebo. Her warm friendly smile will be sadly missed by all that knew her. Her family will receive friends Sunday, June 24th, 4-7 p.m. at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield. The funeral will be Monday, June 25, 2012, 11 a.m. in The First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield with the Rev. T. Michael McDowell officiating.
