Elsa Aguilera, 73, of Hartford, passed away on Thursday June 10, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador daughter of Juan Isidoro Aguilera and Rosa Lucila Alvarado. She moved to Hartford in February 1989 and worked for Suburban Cleaning Company for many years until her health would not allow it. Anyone who crossed paths with Elsa could feel her warm, caring, and loving energy. She loved her family and would stop anything that she was doing to lend a helping hand.

Elsa is survived by her only daughter Lucila (Lucy) Morante, husband Ricardo Morante, of East Hartford. She is also survived by one sister Betty Alicea and three brothers Armando (Maria) Aguilera, Oswaldo Aguilera, Jose (Teresa) Aguilera. As well as many nephews and nieces, Ines (Borney & Nathalie), Tanya (Karina & Priscilla), Israel, Benjamin, Belen, Jesus, Nancy, Elizabeth, Joe, Antonio, Ingrid, Evelyn, Fernando, Alexandra, and all the beautiful children they brought into the world. Family called her Tia Elsa, Elsita, Enchi and she loved it! The smile on her face when she would get visitors is something that would light up a room. Elsa loved listening to music (especially Julio Jaramillo), watching her telenovelas, and dedicated so many years taking care of all the new babies of the family, many of whom are named above. She loved everyone so much and will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield CT. The funeral will be on Thursday June 17, 2021 starting with a Mass at 10:00AM at Saint Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave. Hartford CT. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave, Hartford.
