Emily (Labrecque) Antaya, 90, of Newington, beloved wife of the late Gerald M. Antaya and beloved mother of Renee M. Antaya passed into eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Friday March 8, 2013. Emily was a kind, gracious, and proud woman. She was blessed with an amazing artistic flair. She owned a floral design business and was a chocolatier. Emily worked at Little Aetna, CT General and CT Mutual Insurance Companies. She gave her time to our troops during WW II as a volunteer with the USO. She was a longtime communicant of Corpus Christi Church. Besides her daughter she is survived by a sister Bernadette Keleher of Cape Cod, a niece and several nephews as well as many friends and extended family members. She was predeceased by four sisters. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Apple Rehab. The funeral will be Thursday, March 14, 2013, 11 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield, friends are asked to go directly to church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visiting hours.
