Estela V. Cano, 87, of New Britain, CT beloved wife of Walter Z. Cano passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at their home surrounded by her loved ones. Estela was born in Arequipa, Peru and was the daughter of the late Nimio and Maria (Sotero) Garcia. After arriving in the United States in 1964, Estela dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her husband of 54 years and their family. She will be remembered for her passion of music, and the joy she experienced in attending many concerts with her daughter and granddaughter. She will also be remembered for her wonderful home cooked meals.

Estela is survived by her husband Walter, their daughter Maria Elena and her husband Steve, and granddaughter Gabriella. In addition, she is survived by her older brother Carlos Augusto and his wife Adela and her younger brother Hugo, as well as several nieces and nephews. Estela was predeceased by 3 of her siblings, Cesar Garcia, Alberto Garcia, and Maria Antonieta.

Funeral service for Estela will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 10am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Ave., Hartford. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
