Flavia Ayala, 68 years old passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Avery Heights in Hartford. She was born on October 5, 1953 in Hormiguero, Puerto Rico to the late Angel Ayala and Beatriz Vazquez. She moved to the United States in 1972 and lived in Hartford for many years.

Flavia was a dedicated mother to her 3 kids.  She was extremely social and outgoing.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed helping others in need, providing them with clothing and food.

Flavia is survived by her 2 sons; Joel Vazquez and his wife Wanda of Hartford, Carlos Vazquez and his wife Myrna also of Hartford, and her daughter Aida Vazquez of Waterbury, 9 grandchildren; Shawn, Cristal, Carlos, Saysha, Gregory, Laqwanda, Jonathan, Melanie, Joel Jr. and her 10 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022, 12:00 PM at the Dillon Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, CT 06109. Visitation will be at the funeral home, before the prayer service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
