MEAGHER, Francis E. Francis E. "Frank" Meagher, 90, of Bristol, beloved husband for 68 years to the late Helen (Krist) Meagher, died Wednesday, (November 10, 2010) at Bristol Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Hartford son of the late Frank and Mary (Murphy) Meagher. He was a former Hartford native before moving to Miami, FL in 1972, he returned to CT and had been a resident of Bristol since 1999. Prior to his retirement, Frank was a member of the Hartford Police Department for over 25 years. He was a member of the Hartford Fire and Police Association, The P.B.A., The Hartford Police Veterans Association, BPOE # 19, The American Legion Post 2, Bristol and he was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Frank was an avid bowler, enjoyed golfing and was an avid mall walker. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Zyrkowski and her husband Kenneth of Bristol, two sons, Marc Meagher of Miami, FL and Dennis Meagher of Maui, HI, six grandchildren, Christopher Bryant, Courtney Meagher Ludwick, Laurie Giuliani-Bryant, Dawn Torres, Kenneth Meagher, Jr. and David Meagher, and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Kenneth Meagher. The funeral will be Tuesday, (November 16, 2010), 11 a.m. at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield with the Rev. Frederick M. Aniello officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, prior to the funeral, 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
