Francisco Marcano Garay, 72, of Hartford, CT passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at The Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. Francisco was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Custodio and Octavia (Marcano) Garay. He served his country honorably in the United States Marines.

Francisco is survived by his beloved wife Zoraida Santiago-Garay, his children Juan Velez, Francisco Garay, Alexander Garay, and Eric Garay. His grandchildren Krystal Velez, Nataly Garay, Alize Garay, Alexa Garay, Calvin Kanlong, Aeliana Dorso, Brianna Garay, Arianna Garay, Alexander Garay Jr, Cire Garay, Brandon Garay, Alexandra Garay, Justice Garay, and Alexander Garay. His great grandchildren Leilani, Leeanna, Jayrianna, Josivette, and Jose. His siblings Maria Butler-Garay, Carmen Garay, and Jose Garay. His daughters-in-law Tahnee Garay, Masury Rodriguez, Luz Velez and son-in-law Lenny Lollar.

Funeral rites for Francisco will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave., Hartford, CT. Burial with full military honors will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield, CT. The American flag will be rendered to Francisco's wife, Zoraida.
