George J. Sirois , 78 of Hartford, loving husband of 53 years to Joan (Poutre) Sirois, died of Covid on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at St Francis Hospital.

He was born in Corbin Gore Maine, son of  Louis and Helene (Doyon) Sirois. He was a custodian for 30 years for the Hartford Board of Education.

He leaves behind 4 sons: Michael (Jane) Sirois of Newington, Kevin and Keith Sirois of Hartford, and Craig (Rachel) Sirois of East Hartford. He leaves 3 brothers: Gaston (Pauline) Hartford, Raymond (Louise) of West Virginia, John (Janine) of Columbia and 3 sisters; Rita (Jack) Hermann of Colchester , Jeanette (Alfred) Breau of Collinsville and Diane (Michael) Burnside of Virginia. Three grandchildren ; Mary Sirois  Gulfport, MS,  Jacob & Madeline Sirois of Newington , Brother-in -law William (Claudette) Poutre of North Falmouth Mass, Sister -in-law Rosemary Borawski of Chandler Arizona. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

He was a member of  the Newington Knights of Columbus, Council 3884, and also on the HFT Bowling league.
A memorial mass will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020, 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church, 53 Capitol Ave. Hartford. Burial will be held at a later date. To share a memory with the family, please visit www.dillonbaxter.com
