Georgia Markopoulos, 81, of Wethersfield, passed away on August 19, 2018. She was born in Pyrgos, Greece on October 12, 1936. Georgia leaves behind her daughter Dionisia Markopoulos of Wethersfield, her son Fotis Markopoulos of Manchester and her two grandchildren Jayda and Petros. She was predeceased by her husband Petros Markopoulos.
The funeral service will be on Thursday, August 23, 11:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave, Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 22, from 5:00- 8:00 PM, with a Trisayion Service at 7:30 PM, at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield.
