Gladys M. (Subenski) Paradise, 92, of Wethersfield, beloved widow of Arthur Paradise, died Friday, June 14, 2013. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Peter and Anastasia (Sliva) Subenski. Gladys worked for the Wethersfield School system for over 40 years. She was a longtime communicant of Corpus Christi Church and a member of the Women's Club of the Church. She is survived by a son, David Paradise and his wife Elaine of Wethersfield, two daughters, Barbara Staron and her husband Thomas of Glastonbury, and Beverly Johnson and her husband Allan of Old Saybrook, a sister, Mildred Kracunas of Windsor, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grand son, Eric Johnson, two brothers and two sisters. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends are invited to attend the funeral Tuesday June 18, 2013, 11 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
