Gloria M. Fernandez "Yoya", 65 of Hartford, CT gained her wings on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 while she was surrounded by her family. Born in Marianao, Havana Cuba on April 9, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Rafael E. Martinez and is survived by her mother, Estrella (Hernandez) Martinez.

Gloria was a hard working entrepreneur with a focus in finance. But, according to her, her greatest accomplishment was raising her children. She was adventurous and had a passion for music, dancing and travel. Gloria was a go-getter! Those who knew her will remember her for her fiery spirit and grandiose personality.

Gloria leaves behind her beloved husband, Ramon Fernandez "Gordo"; her daughter, Christina Gonzalez "Baby Girl"; her son, Ramon Gonzalez Jr. "Gallego" and his wife, Melissa Gonzalez. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mia Estrella Gonzalez and Ramon Antonio Gonzalez III; Christy's grandson, Lyndon; her sister, Maria Nascimiento "Mi Hermana" and her husband Carlos as well as her sister-in-law, Marie Martinez. Gloria leaves her nieces and nephews, DeeDee (her goddaughter), Lito, Michi, China and Ed, Carla and Chad, Manny and Lucely, as well as Mickey and Khalif. In addition, she leaves her great nephews and nieces EJ, Breanna, Carlito, Alyssa, Josh, Nate, Kiki, Nas, Ralfy, Gabby, Colton, Chadly, Havana, King and Knowledge. Besides her father, Gloria was predeceased by her brothers Manny "Chuchi" and Rafael "Popo" as well as her sister-in-law Sandy.
