Gloria E. (Rios) Martinez, 89, of Hartford, wife of the late Juan C. Martinez, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Yaguajay, Las Villas, Cuba, daughter of the late Ramon and Petrona (Garcia) Rios. Prior to her retirement, Gloria worked for Carling Switch Co. for several years. She is survived by a son, Gerardo J. Martinez and his wife Lesbia of Rocky Hill, a daughter, Ana G. Martinez of Bristol, four grandchildren, James and Melissa Dicklow and Omar and Jerry Martinez, a great grandchild, Xavier Martinez, two sisters both of Cuba and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Friday, September 28, 2012, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in St. Peters Church, 160 Main Street, Hartford, everyone is asked to go directly to church.
