Grace (Mahon) Doherty of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Arthur "Art" Doherty, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at home. She was born in Brookline, MA, daughter of the late Michael Mahon and Catherine (Hurley) Mahon and lived in West Hartford for 67 years. She was a communicant of St. Mark the Evangelist Church. Grace was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Pat Doherty-Provencher and her husband, Kenneth, of West Hartford, and Ann Doherty Gardner of West Hartford; six grandchildren, John and his wife, Stacy, Katherine and Mary Margaret Provencher, John, Michael and his wife, Heidi, and Christopher and his wife, Jennifer, Gardner; three great grandchildren, John and David Gardner and Joshua Gardner; a sister and brother, Gertrude Crowley of Brookline, MA and William "Bill" Mahan and his wife June, of Largo, FL. She was predeceased by her three sisters, Mary O'Connell, Catherine Neafsey and Margaret Dervan. The funeral will be Monday, July 30, 2012 at 9 a.m. from the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. in St. Mark the Evangelist Church, 467 S. Quaker Lane West Hartford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
