Irene A. Sedorak, 76, of Hartford, passed away on October 2, 2016. Born in Hartford, Irene was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Pilczak) Sedorak. She worked as an officer for the Aetna insurance company for over 45 years. Irene lived in Wethersfield for 35 years and spent her last five years at Avery Heights. There she managed the library. Irene was an avid reader and instructed many residents at Avery in the use of computers. She loved to travel, and take her nieces and nephews to Disney World. Irene leaves behind her sister, Barbara Price and her husband Irwin of Brookline, Ma, her brother Ronald Sedorak and his wife Sandra of Barnegat, NJ and her eight nieces and nephews Melissa, Martin, Krista, Michael, Timothy, Mark, Matthew and Michelle. The funeral service will be Friday, October 7, 1:00 p.m. at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist's Cemetery, Glastonbury. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m, prior to the service. Memorial contributions made in Irene's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
