Irene (Pitsiladis) Soter, 89, widow of Andrew Soter, died Friday, August 7, 2015 at Rockville General Hospital. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Peter and Nery Pitsiladis. She had lived in Wethersfield and Rocky Hill before moving to Willington. She was a graduate of Lesley University, Boston, MA and taught in grammar schools. She later worked for Hartford Hospital in the Patients Account Dept. for many years. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She is survived by a son Peter Damian Soter of Wethersfield, and a daughter Neri Andrea Wagoner and her husband Kenneth of Paxton, MA., four grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew and Michael Wagoner, and Greyland Soter. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa P. Soter. The funeral will be Friday, August 14th, 1pm at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave. Hartford, 06114, with the Rev. Dr. George Zugravu officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Friends may call at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, 06109, Friday prior to the funeral, 10:30am-12:30pm with a Trisayion service at 12pm.
