James Hernandez, 58, of New Britain, CT passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 18, 2021.  James was born in Hartford to Emilio Hernandez and the late Luz Maria Lopez.  James enjoyed working with his hands which showed in his skills as a roofer and as an artist, but his passion was drawing.  He will forever be missed by his long time partner and common law wife Tracy Campagna, and his two daughters Melonie and Jamie Hernandez, his brothers; Wilfredo Cordova, Antonio Torres, and Chuck Minion, his sisters; Awilda Ayala, Elizabeth Hernandez, Iris Cordova and Hilda Hernandez, as well as 3 boys and 4 girls grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  James is predeceased by his mother Luz Maria Lopez and brother Emilio Hernandez Jr and sister Migdalia Rivera Hernandez.

Visiting hours will be on Friday July 23, 2021 from 9am - 12pm with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00am at Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke, Wethersfield.  Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave, Hartford.
