James Rinaldo, 74, of Wethersfield, CT passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Jim was a graduate of Hartford High School in 1966 and spent the majority of his adult life living in West Hartford. In his early years, Jim attended school to become a tool and dye maker. He also joined the military at 19 to serve during the Vietnam War as a parachutist as well as a mechanic and chauffeur for high ranking officials in the army. Later in his career, Jim enjoyed working as a school bus driver for both the American School for the Deaf and West Hartford Public Schools. When not working, Jim enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine, and had fond memories of trips to Jamaica, Hawaii, and Ireland.

Jim is survived by his cousins Paul McDonough, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, John Rinaldo of Marlborough, CT, and Virginia Seitz of North Carolina. Jim also leaves behind many other family and friends, including Mary Young, of West Hartford; Eric Calloway, of Hartford; Heather, Carlos, Amelia, and Calvin Garcia, of Wethersfield; and Tara, Jeff, and Russell Williams of Newington. Jim was predeceased by this mother, Marjorie McDonough, his father, James Rinaldo Sr., and his long time partner Sue Hawkins.

A graveside service for Jim will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 2:00pm in Rose Hill Cemetery, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT.
