Janice S. MacKesson, 96, of Hartford, CT beloved wife of the late John R. MacKesson passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Avery Heights. Janice was born in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Karl and Nadine (Clapp) Stremlau.  She graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford (1946), Simmons College in Boston (1950) and the Aetna Dietetic Internship (1951).  She was a registered dietitian and previously employed as a consultant in Connecticut healthcare facilities.

Janice is survived by daughters Karla MacKesson, Leslie Albee and husband John, Lynn MacKesson and partner Rob Irizarry and son Kenneth MacKesson and wife Robin as well as three grandchildren Julia MacKesson, Jonathan MacKesson and wife Kim MacVaugh and Charles Clinton and wife Jacqueline and two great-grandchildren Willa and Quinn Clinton.

A memorial service will be held in mid-April.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wethersfield Beautification Trust (PO Box 290194, Wethersfield, CT 06109) or Simmons University.
