Jeffrey Spicer Smith, 79, of Hartford, beloved husband of Flabia Carmona Smith, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at VA CT Health Center-West Haven. He was born in Lynn, MA, son of the late Joseph and Lois (MacLean) Smith and had lived in Hartford for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War era and served honorably in the US Army.

Jeff was a graduate of Salem State College. He also worked at the Boys and Girls Club in Hartford, and in security for Hartford Insurance. Jeff was computer savvy, even before computers were in every household. He enjoyed reading, watching TV, and eating his wife's cooking.

Besides his wife Flabia, Jeff leaves a son, Austin J. Cyphersmith of Illinois. He was also predeceased by sisters Rosalyn Merrifield and Lisa Thoumine. He leaves his new Dominican family who were very close to him for the last 20 years.

A viewing will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 4 to 7 PM at the Dillon Baxter Funeral Home 1276 Berlin Turnpike. Wethersfield, CT. Military Honors will be held at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
