VIEIRA, Joao L. Joao L. Vieira, 57, of Hartford beloved husband of Irma (Neti) Vieira, died Tuesday (August 10, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Lisbon, Portugal, son of the late Alexandre and Laurinda (Rosa) Vieira and immigrated to the U.S. over 30 years ago. He worked for the State of CT Department of Revenue Services for over 20 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Sons of Italy and a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Teresa of New Britain, Rosemary of Newington, a step daughter, Ornela of Hartford, five brothers, Vitor Vieira and wife Edite, Fernando and wife Paula and Mario and wife Paula all of Portugal, Carlos and wife Antonia of Avon, and Paulo and wife Lillian of Rocky Hill, a sister Grace Vieira of East Windsor, his brother in-law and his wife Paul and Violet Neti of Wethersfield and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday, August 14, 9 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima, Fatima Square, Hartford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
