Jose B. Diaz, 81, of Hartford, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024 at home.  Jose was born in Naranjito, PR and was the son of the late Leopoldo Diaz Pacheco and Felipa Rivera Rivera. Jose was a die-hard Red Sox fan. His passion was playing his guitars for his family and friends. His favorite artist was Maso Rivera the legendary Jibaro artist.  To those that knew him, knew he was a grumpy old man with a heart of gold.

Jose is survived his three brothers Efrain Diaz, Angel Diaz and Alphonso Diaz and his sister Carmen Rosa Diaz. He was loved by his nieces, nephews, many great nieces, great nephews and slew of great friends.

Funeral service for Jose will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 7pm at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be private.
