It is with great sadness that we announce that Jose M. Hernandez of Hartford passed suddenly on February 4, 2022.  He is predeceased by his father Ramon Hernandez, brothers Thomas Rodriguez and Rafael Vazquez.

Jose is survived by his mother Modesta Velez and his three sister Wilma Hines, Lizza Hernandez and Veronica Hernandez.  His daughter Marilyn Hernandez, son Jose M. Hernandez and his wife Joanne Hernandez, his daughter Jackelyn Hernandez.  He also leaves 8 grandchildren Dashawn Roberts, Rayquan Roberts, Destinee Santiago, Jose M. Hernandez III, Jaiden A. Hernandez, Jamaira E. Hernandez, Keara Figueroa, Danielle Rodriguez. Nephews and Nieces Luis, Rafael, Naomi, James, Marcus, Maria, Rafael (Pito) Angel and Luis.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5 to 8pm at the Dillon Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke Wethersfield, CT 06109. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 11:00 am at Maria Reina De La Paz Parish (St. Lawrence O'Toole Church) 494 New Britain Ave, Hartford CT. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT
