Jose A. Ortiz, Sr., 81, of Hartford, CT passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. Jose was born in Adjuntas, PR and was the son of the late Daniel and Justina (Vasquez) Ortiz.

Jose is survived by his three sons, Efrain, David and Marco Ortiz and his daughter Rosalinda. Jose was predeceased by his son Jose A. Ortiz, Jr.

Funeral service or Jose will be held Friday, May 22, 2026 at 12pm at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
