Joseph "Joe" M. Follacchio, 49, of Wethersfield, CT passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 following a battle with esophageal cancer. Joe graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1991.  Following his interests in kinesiology, massage therapy, and philosophy, he received his Certified Nurses Aid certificate and later graduated from the CT School of Massage Therapy.  Loving to work with his hands, he discovered he had a talent for carpentry work and spent most of his adult life working in the commercial field. The last ten years with Chris Witham Construction Services. Music was Joe's first love. Many will remember his long jet black hair, jamming away on his drums or strumming a guitar, and forever asking his sister to sing along. Besides his interest in soccer, Joe loved to read, especially fantasy books and loved when audio versions became available.  His imagination and curiosity were always piqued.  Although Joe held many styles of jobs and had lots of interests, his greatest accomplishment in life was being a dad.

Joe is survived by his son Nicholas Follacchio, his parents Nicholas and Patricia Follacchio, his sister Alicia Neville and her husband Todd McCann, his niece Jennifer Perry, his nephew Tristan Neville, his significant other Lisa Giusti, and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. His character, loyalty, and sense to help others will be forever missed.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 10 am at St. Elizabeth Seaton Church (St. Josephine Bakhita Parish), 280 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. There are no calling hours. The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield, CT has charge of arrangements.
