Joyce F. (Gunner) Sollima, 69, of Windsor, beloved wife of Pasquale M. Sollima, died Saturday, (June 2, 2012) at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Albert G. and Alice (Palmer) Gunner, and had lived in Wethersfield for many years before moving to Windsor 9 years ago. Joyce had previously worked for Coleco Industries, West Hartford, for many years. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Selina A. Jerome and her husband Gene E. Jerome, Wethersfield, and Debora A. Gomez and her husband Silverio, of Texas. A son, Kevin M. Daigle and his wife Shanna, of South Carolina. Two sisters, Louise A. Smith, of Coventry and Donna L. Landry, of Manchester. 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves Pat's family who she thought of as her own, Deborah M. Mayano, Anthony D. Sollima, David M. Sollima. and his 9 grandchildren. Her beloved dog Max and her cat Mindy will surely miss Joyce as well. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012, 7:00 pm, at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield. Visiting hours will precede the service on Tuesday, from 5 to 7 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
