Juan Ortiz, Jr., 48, of Concord, NH, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Juan was born in Hartford, CT, the son of Carmen Cortes Ortiz and the late Juan M. Ortiz, Sr. Juan, also affectionally known as "Papo", will always be remembered as a loving son, protective brother, supportive father, loyal friend, and hard worker. He loved baseball and was a lifelong Mets fan. Being remembered as quiet, reserved, humble, and completely selfless, dropping everything to help a family member, friend, and even a total stranger in need will be his legacy.

Juan is survived by his two sons, Jadyn Ruiz and Juan Lucas Ortiz; his two daughters, Makayla Ortiz and Miley Ortiz; his six sisters, Carmen Ortiz, Brenda Ortiz, Gloria Ortiz-Rivera, Blanca Ivette Ortiz, B. Iris Gonzalez, Frances Ortiz, his fiancée Jennifer Harris, and his many nieces and nephews. Juan was predeceased by his sister Jenny Ortiz-Nieves.

The funeral service for Juan will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, in Wethersfield, CT.  Relatives and friends may call at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford, CT, immediately following the service.
