Juanita Casanova Ortiz, 77, of Hartford, CT was called home after an arduous battle with Alzheimers. She passed surrounded by her loving family Monday, September 12, 2022 at home. Juanita was born in Patillas, P.R. and was the daughter of the late Antonio Casanova and Marcelina Ortiz Solis.

Juanita will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family including a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, daughters-in-law, son-in-law and many friends. She is survived by her loving sons Angel Francisco, Luis Roberto and Reynaldo. Her loving daughters Carmin and Iris and her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings brother Benito, sisters Socorro and Lydia. Juanita was predeceased by her husband, parents, sister and brothers.

A Celebration of Juanita's life will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT. Prayer service will be at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends may call at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.
