Julia Hoda, 90, of Rocky Hill, CT passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by her family and all her loved ones.  She was born in Gjirokaster, Albania and was the daughter of the late Kostandin and Vasile (Miha) Vardhami.  She immigrated to the United States in 1996, alone with her husband of fifty years Polo Hoda.  In 1997 they were reunited with all of their children and their families.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Her great grandchildren; Alex, Jani, Angela, Damian, Sara, Maya, Stela, Leo, Ari, Avianka, Mia and Mateo.

Julia was predeceased by her husband Polo Hoda in May, 2000.

Funeral services for Julia will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, CT with the Rev. Dr. George Zugravu officiating. Committal service and final resting place will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, CT. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, April 6, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT. A Trisayion service will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
