Kaitlin Dillon, 26, a beacon of light and positivity despite a lifelong battle with a rare disease, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Born in Farmington, CT, Kaitlin grew up in Rocky Hill, CT, and resided in North Haven, CT, at the time of her passing. She was known for her infectious positivity and a spirit that defied her circumstances. Diagnosed with the rare genetic disorder Dyskeratosis Congenita, she faced her condition with remarkable courage and grace. She ultimately succumbed to complications from pulmonary fibrosis, a battle she fought with unwavering strength.

She possessed a remarkable capacity to love others unconditionally, accepting everyone she met with an open heart. Her bright spirit and inherent goodness touched countless lives, and her family takes solace in knowing this light will keep her alive in the memories of all who knew her. Her warmth and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on the world.

She is survived by her devoted father, Robert Dillon; her cherished brother, Aiden Dillon; her loving stepmother, Heather Dillon; her stepbrother and stepsisters; her loving maternal grandfather Gene Hosack (wife Judy Hosack) and maternal grandmother Judy Hosack; her loving godparents, Anna Maria and Paul Zocco; her Uncle David Hosack, and her special friends Aunt Liz Giannotta and Laura Walsh.
