Kathleen Ann ( McDonald) Piacentini loving wife of the late Robert Piacentini
passed away Friday, July 1, 2011. She was born in Hartford the daughter of the late Marion B. and Joseph P. McDonald. Kathleen was employed by the City of Hartford working in various capacities in numerous departments before her retirement from the Mayor's Office in 1999. She is survived by her brother, Joseph P. McDonald, Jr., her niece Marylou Campbell and her husband Mickey, her nephew Michael McDonald and his wife Stephanie, her niece Donna Negreros and her husband Marcos her nephew William and his wife Janie and her nephews Sean and Tomas McDonald. She is also survived by her step-children Robert Piacentini Jr., John Piacentini and his wife Joanne, Mary-Ann Gubala and her husband Paul, her brother-in-law Frank Centini and his wife Betty Ann, sister-in-law Leonara Setaro and her husband Anthony, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins all who were very dear to her heart. Besides her loving family Kathleen also leaves her special friend, Deborah Cormier who was more of a sister then a friend. Also Diane O'Connor a dear friend who her precious Clemie will be making her home with. The funeral will be Tuesday, July 5, 2011, 10:30 a.m. from the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave. Hartford, burial will be at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, prior to the funeral, 9:30-10:30 a.m.The family would like to thank the staff of CB-2 at Hartford Hospital for all their compassionate care.
