Kiriazis Diakonikolas, 103, of East Hartford, husband of the late Despina (Moustouhas) Diakonikolas, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at home. He was born in Rhodes, Greece on January 30, 1914 to the late Nikolas and Maria Diakonikolas. He is survived by his son Nikolas Diakonikolas and his wife Janice of Manchester, his daughters, Mary Agapoglou of Glastonbury, and Eleni Pappas and her husband Lambros of Old Saybrook. Kiriazis also leaves behind his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Monday, October 17, 11 a.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114 . Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the church.
