ZAWERTON, Laura K. Laura Kathleen Zawerton, 40, of Newington, died, Monday, (January 15, 2007) at her home. She was born in Hartford, daughter of Daniel Zawerton, Jr. of Newington and Gay S. Weidlich of Vernon and had lived in Wethersfield before moving to Newington over 20 years ago. Laura was a Para Legal for several area law firms and more recently, Kearns & Kearns Attorneys. She was a former communicant of Incarnation Church, and a graduate of Wethersfield High School, class of 1984. She loved to sing and while in Wethersfield High, she sang in the high school band and performed a solo, singing the "ROSE". She was an avid motorcyclist, and loved her Harley. Besides her father and mother, she is survived by her step-father, Robert Weidlich; her brother, Daniel R. Zawerton and his wife Donna of Newington; her sister, Susan Z. DiChello of Largo, FL; a special friend, Timothy Bianchi; a niece and nephew, Angela and Ryan Zawerton; an aunt, Maureen Finucane of Wethersfield, numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and a special cousin, Debbie Linko of New York. She loved her cats Ashes and Zack. The funeral will be Friday, January 19, 9:15 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St. Wethersfield. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
